LOC only says 'Kiefer' as description. Gives year as 1922. Looks like a tough guy. Could be a little blood there on his cheek. Did a little research on Kiefer. Found a reference to a Kiefer that lost two games of the 1922 World Series, but pitching for the New York Giants, against the Senators. Also found a site with a 1922 Senators roster. No Kiefer. Might be mis-described on photo. Perhaps someone can verify or clarify his identity. National Photo Company. LOC original medium: glass negative.
