Water Horse Kelpie Artwork Postcard
This beautiful white spirit is enchanting, but treacherous. It's a kelpie or brook horse, who lures unsuspecting people to a watery grave. The horse can be tricked, and if it can be bridled, it will do the owner's bidding; however, it cannot be tamed and will always try to escape. Vintage artwork 1909 by Norwegian artist Theodor Kittelsen (1857 - 1914).
