Weisse Rose (over heart) T-Shirt

Weisse Rose (over heart) T-Shirt

The Weisse Rose anti-fascist, anti-Nazi movement was formed in 1942 by Hans Scholl, a student at the University of Munich, and a Wehrmacht soldier on the Eastern Front; his sister Sophie; and fellow students Willi Graf; Alexander Schmorell; and Christoph Probst. They were appalled at the general apathy of the German populace, and were willing to speak out despite the high probability of being caught and executed. Soon, they had spread out, and were publishing leaflets and pamphlets urging action against the Nazis. Although they were pacifists, they advocated sabotage and civil disobedience, especially against the German arms industries and other important cogs in the Nazi war effort. “We will not be silent! We are your bad conscience. The White Rose will not leave you in peace!" was their call to the students, and concerned citizens to rise up and fight however they might. Their leaflets were distributed far and wide by student groups. The core members were betrayed to the Gestapo, and arrested and executed, along with their philosophy professor and sponsor Kurt Huber, in 1943. But the heart of the movement did not die with them, and people opposing fascism in all of its guises still turn to their guiding spirit. We will not be silent!

I found the shirt quality itself to be well made. Unfortunately I found that the image quality of the artwork is low resoultion. So the art and words aren't as clear. I probably wont buy another shirt to be honest, but I'm glad I supported the podcast of which I'm a fan of. I was just hoping that for the price I paid, it would have been of better quality.
