These Christmas stockings feature a seamless pattern influenced by Welsh blanket designs - known as Carthen or Cartheni (plural) in Wales and seen in many Welsh homes where they are used as covers for beds and throws for chairs. This is my own modern creation influenced by classic patterns.
The text reads Nadolig LLawen, which is Welsh for Merry Christmas.
