West Stained Glass Window Christ Church Cathedral Tie
This was shot from inside the church sactuary. The active Anglican Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, was started in 1845 and finished in 1853. The design was modelled on a mediaeval church in Norfolk, England. It was initiated by refugee English loyalists who left the American colonies after the war for independence. One of the most interesting things about the cathedral is speculation about its ghost said to be Margaret Hudson Medley, the second wife of one of the bishops, who starts from their old home on Queen Street and walks down Church Street to enter the west door of the cathedral carrying food for her late working husband and then disappear. Also a few times, people said they saw or heard a ghostly woman playing the organ and even smelled food even though the church has no cooking facilities. These sightings go back 100 years. The stained glass windows were not made in Canada. They were made in England and shipped all the way to Fredericton in vats of molasses. The thick molasses kept the glass from moving around and breaking.
