I can't count the times people have said, when I told them I'm from West Virginia, "Oh, I have relatives in Richmond!" That Richmond is in Virginia... a whole 'nother state! Our little Richmond has a population of just over 3,000. West Virginia became a separate state in 1863. America's school systems are failing miserably when its students don't learn enough about the 50 states to know West Virginia is its own state! Anyway, thanks for reading my rant... ~~Clara Chandler
