Austrian psychiatrist Sigmund Freud (1856 – 1939), the founding father of psychoanalysis, loved cats, as this wonderful quote testifies: “Time spent with cats is never wasted.” The great words are matched with an equally great cat painting by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Takahashi Shotei (1871 – 1944) which I’ve lovingly restored. Called “Tama” (white cat), it features a serene and contented white cat with beautiful yellow eyes. The poster would make the perfect gift for lovers of cats and vintage Japanese cat art.

I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful.
