Having survived the Ice Age, wolves can withstand temperatures that reach 60 degrees below zero. Chenoa (meaning Dove) carries her Arctic line beautifully. Known by all visitors as “the pretty one”, she is exquisitely feminine with a fiercely strong maternal instinct. When small children enter the enclosure, she literally won’t take her eyes off of them for the entire visit. If they get a little too far away from their mothers, she herds them back to their families. Not only is she an amazing sight, her behaviour with children tops that.
