"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" In Alice in Wonderland, at the Hatter's tea party, the Hatter asks Alice this riddle. He doesn't give an answer, and actually author Lewis Carroll said it was nonsense, and there is no answer. Later, he came up with an answer and said it was "Because it can produce a few notes, though… they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!" (Note that never is spelled "nevar" which is "raven" spelled backwards.) A fun Alice in Wonderland t-shirt.
