William Blake Angels Note Card. Pen, ink and watercolor circa 1805-08. English poet and artist William Blake regularly illustrated famous scenes from the Bible. Christ in the Sepulchre Guarded by Angels depicts the body of Jesus Christ laid in the tomb after the crucifixion. The guardians represent the two angels discovered by Mary Magdalene shortly after the resurrection. Blake postitions the angels bowing over the body with wings upstretched and hands clasped in prayer. Both figures are clad in white that matches the linen covering the body of Jesus, and a holy light emanates about their faces. A beautiful gift for fans of Blake, poetry, English painting, and Bible illustrations.

We downloaded several photos which was simple and produced a very attractive personalised card for our 11yr old Granddaughter.
I was concerned that the card would not arrive on time but Zazzle came up trumps and the card arrived on the day before her birthday - perfect! I didn't see the card as it went straight to our family in New Zealand. However they did send a photo and it looked excellent!
