The elegant "Artichoke" pattern comes from a silk and wool rug created by the English designer William Morris (1834-1896) in 1877. Superluminal's Portable Imagery specialises in home furnishings and paper goods featuring designs by William Morris; classic paisleys, batiks, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese textiles; carpet patterns from Turkey, Persia, the Caucasus, India, and Central Asia; Moorish and Turkish ceramic designs; flora and fauna from antiquarian books; alchemical images and Persian miniatures.
