William Morris Myrtle Floral Pattern Espresso Mugs
Add a touch of English charm to your dining table with these exquisite William Morris floral chintz pattern espresso mugs.
Myrtle is at once elegant and cheerful, featuring a profusion of flowers favored by the upper classes of the 19th century for the formal garden and conservatory. Glistening white myrtle and full-blown pink damask roses, both prized for their heady perfume combine with tawny gold dahlias and acanthus of sage green and a lovely shade of clear blue. Dark green sprays of myrtle leaves in the background add a sense of depth.
Myrtle by William Morris, designed for embroidery in 1875, first printed as wallpaper in 1899, England, Aesthetic Movement. Colours include rose pink, blue, tawny gold, hunter green green and sage green on a background of antique white. Original piece: colour woodblock on paper. Lovingly hand restored by a professional graphic artist experienced in art restoration.
Please keep in mind the original piece is over a century old and was hand printed from a hand-carved woodblock, so there are tiny variations in the pattern. While I have painstakingly restored the pattern to its original pristine condition, these tiny variations remain and are part of the charm of a historic handcrafted piece.

Espresso Mug
Creator Review
I am the artist who created this image.
I have not ordered an espresso cup before.
I have ordered other zazzle mugs before and we use them constantly at home.
I love these small cups, I will be giving them as presents to everyone from now on.
The product arrived in the UK 7 days from ordering, impressive.
I ordered these cups from StrangeStore for an exhibition of my artwork and the zazzle have attracted so much attention. As a long term professional illustrator and designer I have very exacting standards, so I was very interested to see how this design would print.
It is simply brilliant.
The printing is awesome!
I have worked with top pottery companies in the UK and this printing is really very good indeed. I have no hesitation displaying this product right next to the original artwork, it's that good.

I love this espresso mug! It's big enough for a double espresso, not too heavy though and just looks cute. The sloth on it looks friendly, almost as if it was smiling and together with the white hearts on the right and left hand side, it is nothing but very cute. Also very pleased with the intensity of the colors. Colors are really good. Print is sharp.
