William Morris Seaweed Pattern Coffee Mug

The print on this product is called Seaweed. It was designed by John Henry Dearle as a wallpaper pattern for Morris and Company, a company owned by William Morris. Dearle was a talented designer who started out as an apprentice under William Morris and later rose to the position of chief textile designer at Morris and Company. Some of the firm's most beautiful woven textiles were created under his leadership.
