William Morris Victorian Era Brer Rabbit Pattern Etched Frames

This is a digitally enhanced print derived from an antique 1882 block printed textile “Brer Rabbit” pattern designed by William Morris. William Morris was a Victorian era poet, novelist, textile designer and an important figure of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. His designs had a mediaeval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts. He was a founding figure of Morris & Co., and Kelmscott Press. He was friends to many Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Edward Burne-Jones and Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
