This is a digitally enhanced print derived from an antique 1883 block printed The Strawberry Thief pattern designed by William Morris. William Morris was a Victorian era poet, novelist, textile designer and an important figure of the British Arts and Crafts Movement. His designs had a mediaeval-inspired aesthetic and respect for hand-craftsmanship and traditional textile arts. He was the founding figure of Morris & Co., and Kelmscott Press.
