Every time someone serves red wine at the temperature of their room A Wine Fairy Dies. “Room temperature” does not mean the temperature of the room you’re currently in! It refers, instead, to the temperature of a room in the days before central heating. So, unless you keep your room unusually cold, serve your red wine a few degrees below your room temperature, usually somewhere between 14 and 16 °C (a bit lower for light styles, a bit higher for heavy ones).
