The card is bright and an immediate eye-catcher. The title in an invitation to open the card for the next statement, and it does not disappoint. The wise man on the front is humoursly drawn so you know that the saying on the inside will be a funny one. The bright yellow color of the card is a cheery greeting for your birthday greeting.

The cartoon of the sage on the front sets up the joke on the inside.
The contrast of the sage in white and the yellow of the card make this a bright greeting, and the sturdy card stock assure that it can be safely passed around without fear of tearing. The black lettering stands out against the yellow background. The sage himself is drawn with just enough detail to make it clear that he is about to issue a word of wisdom.
