It shows elegant women walking along the sidewalk on Fifth Avenue, which is a major thoroughfare in the borough of Manhattan in New York City. Fifth Avenue stretches north from Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village to West 143rd Street in Harlem, and it is considered to be one of the most expensive streets in the world. The original artwork was painted in 1911.
