World's Colombian Exposition, 1894 by Theodore Robinson is a vintage impressionism fine art architectural painting. The World's Colombian Exposition (aka The Chicago World's Fair) was held in Chicago, Illinois in 1893. The event was to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492.
About the artist:
Theodore Robinson (1852-1896) was one of the first American artists to take up impressionist painting in the late 1880s. Several of his works are considered masterpieces of American Impressionism.
