This design features a painting by Rosa Bonheur (1822–1899), who was a French artist best known as a painter of animals. It shows a golden eagle flying through the sky. It is clearly struggling to stay in the air, as it has recently been injured. One of the eagle's wings is open but the other is closed. The eagle is a majestic bird of prey with dark brown plumage; the animal uses its powerful feet and large sharp talons to hunt.
