The Yaquina Lighthouse is an iconic landmark on the Oregon Coast. Situated north of Newport, Oregon, this statuesque beacon sits in an area called the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, which is operated by the Bureau of Land Management. The area has hiking trails and access to a beautiful cobble beach where you can check out the tide pools. On the day this photo was taken there was a high surf advisory, with predicted wave heights of 20=25 ft.
