Yin and Yang Symbol (Taoist Taijitu) Yoga Mat

This design features the traditional yin and yang symbol. In Ancient Chinese philosophy, yin and yang (陰陽) is a concept of dualism, describing how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. A taijitu (太極圖) is a symbol in Chinese philosophy representing the Oneness of the Universe in both its monist and its dualist (yin and yang) aspects. The symbol was first introduced by the Song Dynasty philosopher Zhou Dunyi (1017–1073).
