Yokai Kappa (River Imp) Stone Coaster

This coaster features a chibi, cartoon drawing of a kappa. The kappa (河童), a turtle-like water imp, is one of the most famous and popular youkai in Japan. Their most distinguishing characteristic is the shallow bowl of water in the top of their heads, which drains them of power if dried or spilled. Kappa love cucumbers and are usually depicted as antagonistic towards humans, and are a general bogeyman creature used to keep children from swimming unattended.
