1914-2014 World War I Memorial Series
The Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing is a War Memorial in Ypres, Belgium, dedicated to the British and Commonwealth soldiers, killed near Ypres in World War I and whose graves are unknown. Over 50,000 names of Commonwealth soldiers are inscribed in the wall.
From a series of World War I postcards from our own collection, all originally published during World War 1 (except for the Ypres Menin Gate Series), many of them having be sent by soldiers.
All cards were retouched and restored to original colours.
