About 2021 my left knee went out on me. But after a knee replacement and physical therapy, my legs were too weak to support me, and I found myself in a wheelchair. I approached the situation with a positive attitude telling myself little mantras such as "One step at a time. One day at a time". Plus, "Needing help does not make me helpless." Then a few years ago, I started playing with the idea of selling t-shirts online, but never did anything with it. In 2024, my beloved kitty cat had to be put to sleep. Boy did that hurt. I then decided this past year to retire and started thinking about the idea again. Thinking of my situation and how much I loved my cat, I decided to come up with mantras and/or slogans of inspiration and strength, coupled with a bit of humor, to help others get through the same or similar situation as my own. Hence, "CoolCatsOnWheels" was born. A pretty simple idea that I hope will give you or someone you love a smile, even if for just a little while. Oh yeah, just a note. Not all of the images are of cats in wheelchairs. Some are drinking tea on a surfboard and at a dinner table. More to come.
