About

Temple of the Goddess is an evolving nonprofit temple headquartered in Pasadena, California. Our beliefs and mission are simple: In order for the human race and the planet to survive and evolve, the feminine principle, as an aspect of human consciousness, must be retrieved, integrated and brought back into full complimentary balance with the masculine principle if we are ever to achieve harmony between these two basic and essential ways of experiencing life. We support an ideology and spirituality of partnership relations based on equality, reciprocity, and caring. Read our Guiding Principles on the website. Temple of the Goddess offers multi-cultural, seasonal celebrations which include Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, and Hallows Eve. Our Temple Sabbats are ritual theater that combine mythology and art to re-connect us to the Earth. These seasonal rituals are multi-media programs combining music, dance, liturgy, spoken word, visual art, and participatory theater which fuses drum and dance with personal enactment. Our seasonal events are directed toward family and community and are usually held at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena. We are currently developing classes in the areas of healing, art, and spirituality which will be offered for both personal development, and ministerial certification. Classes will begin in 2008. Our vision is to build a living Temple, Healing Center, and Arts Complex. Anyone who resonates with our ideology and wishes to share in this vision is welcome to join (either at our rituals or online). Your tax-deductible contributions are gratefully accepted and deeply valued. If you reside in Southern California, we welcome any contributions of time, energy, and creativity on any of our assorted committees. Goddess Bless
