Life Stories in Three Words

When I was a student, I was asked to create a story starting with just three words as an exercise to develop creativity. The three words were: waiter, playing card, mania. I imagined me walking on a street when suddenly a heavy rain started. The first place where I could shelter from the rain was a small bistro. I entered and sat down to a small table. In a short while, a poorly dressed old man came to me carrying a playing card in his hand and started to tell me how he lost everything because of this card. If he had this card, he would win the poker game. The presence of the old guy annoyed me and the waiter noticed. He came to the old man and gently took him by the shoulders saying: "Lat's go, dad!" Then, he turn to me and said: "I'm very sorry, that's what he's doing every time someone's entering here..." Feeling ashamed, I ordered a coffee, drunk it and, when the rain stopped, left the bistro with a heavy heart. In today's informational overload, we need to simplify things. We can send messages and tell stories without writing long scripts. Three words are enough. I want to inspire people to imagine their own stories and send short messages full of meaning.
