Lori Rivera, Artist

I am a visual artist (mostly acrylic painting) living in Southwestern Indiana, with roots based in nonrepresentational abstract art. In these pieces, my inspiration comes from within, as they are based on feeling and intuition, rather than the reality-based world around me. Even though my natural inclination is to paint in a non-objective style, I’ve recently become interested in creating representational pieces, namely still life and portraits. At this moment in my career, I am exploring avenues never taken before. I’m trying on different styles, techniques, strokes, palettes and more. I view art as a journey and not a destination, and I will never stop learning.
