I'm a 30 year old self-taught artist from the foothills of Appalachia. I simply love making things. I love being able to take simple items & an idea & create something beautiful & important. I LOVE antiques & have way too many, and am always looking for more. My favorite colors change from time to time. Chartreuse has always been consistent. I love rooms dressed completely in shades of white. They are serene & comforting to me. I love art. I have never been able to afford other people’s art. I always thought that was one of the pitfalls of being an artist myself–that I would have to be happy just owning my own art. I’m finding ways to change that now, one newly acquired piece at a time. My resolution for the new year was–less big business, more homemade. I’m having so much fun accomplishing this goal! And at the same time, it fills me with warmth, knowing that in small ways, in ways that I am able, I am contributing to the success of other, small time sellers. I think it is important to have a dream, to never abandon it, and to be able to live it.
