Iconography is a double-faceted concept. History has taught us that iconography is a powerful way of building a simple image that tells a complicated and unique story about brands, organizations and individuals. In that respect, iconography has proven - in many cases - to be both timeless and priceless. Yet, somehow, who we are and what we represent is ever-changing. But how do we elevate our own personal, business and political brands or voice in a crowded field with timeless iconic symbols like Coca-Cola's world-renowned red can - known for roughly a century? Fortunately, every passing minute is an opportunity to simplify our personal messages into powerful contemporary icons, some of which will become as timeless as others like Coca-Cola. In this increasingly fast-paced life we live, it can seem more and more difficult to fulfill our need to express ourselves and communicate our message at-large in a succinct and powerful way. It is just this take on this subject that has lead me to fascination with the power of simple imagery. This seemingly basic perspective has proven time and again to be anything but... My goal in this small endeavor is not to design what I think looks worthwhile, but far more lofty: my aim will be to see the design in you, a one-of-a-kind being in a culture with much to share. I strive to see the "story" behind every individual as well as the plot-lines that run in parallels, shared throughout culture. I hope that, at least at some point in time, you find something I've designed that expresses your message in the way only a single looking glance at the right creation can... Whether you're looking to extend the story of someone or something outside yourself or you're trying to say something unique unto you, the purpose I find in Modern Moniker will be to give you that very power of expression while having predicted countless message trends before most people catch on. And I want to share it with you first! Expression is power!
