My Art. Now there is a story. And it Links two aspects of my life. It started by trying to produce Wildlife and animal portraits, That gave as accurate portrait as possible, ( so you could feel like you could stoke it and feel fur ) and with real life behind the eyes . For my shear love and respect for the animal kingdom and to return some of that which they have given me. Each picture is to honor those animals with my view of there majesty ) If Asked how i do it, i really couldn't tell you. I still sit back and say to myself did i really do that. ( i seem to go into a trance like state when painting or drawing. And time/food/sleep are immaterial. The other aspect of my Art is the unknown/spirit ( if you like, its so personal to each of use and beyond definition ) I wanted to do things that had never been seen or done before, but instead of the minimalists abstract art.( which certainly has its place in the art world and can bring about many deep feelings and thought ). But for me personally i wanted a skill that had the factor/skill of the likes of Rembrandt and Dali ( to name but a couple )unfortunately for me it seems to take hours. Many of my paintings have taken 600 hours+. Like the "Ray influence" Which every single 1029 0f the bubbles was free hand drawn, and then painted. And the "Journey home" each of the 12 section taking 40 hours as i blended the colours of each drop. Others like the swirls might look simple but again the blending process takes it toll. I do see a place for all Art and who can say what a piece of art can do for somebody. A world of diversity is so the richer. But i do feel there is a place for my work too. I like it so you cant see my brush marks and wonder how i did it, and feel as though you have bought something of a master of there creativity. I developed my own style and technique. Because only i could know what i wanted. I didnt want any influence from other technique or styles. So i pushed forward into a whole new realm. Just as the Artist of the past did. I have to paint i have no choice. Create or die and some days it gets pretty close. Or seems to, hahahahh
