I thought this was gonna be cheap and flimsy due to the price. Our badge machine at work broke and I needed some for my team in a pinch. These are actually better quality than the ones we make.

I created this item design as a small gift for each of my Hispanic co-workers ... it has nothing to do with the employer for the jobs we have there. This is one of the World's favorite devotional images of the Virgin Mary as She appeared to the Aztec Juan Diego in 1531 in Mexico asking him to build a chapel to Her there. She wore a rose garment with a gold pattern design of flowers and plants thus giving her Worldly aspect. Over this She wore a brilliant turquoise robe of gold stars thus giving Her Heavenly aspect. She appeared to Juan Diego after a lightning light struck the Earth and She stood surrounded by shimmering light. Her face and hands were brown more similar to the skin of the Aztecs. Juan Diego could not persuade the Spanish Archbishop without more proof of a miracle ... So, She told Juan Diego to return to pick the roses she helped to arrange in Juan Diego's work tunic. When Juan Diego again went to see the Archbishop and these roses spilled out, the Archbishop was stunned to see roses of the kind from Spain and knew this was indeed a miracle sent from God. On top of this, hundreds of thousands of Mexican Aztecs immediately converted to Catholic Christianity as the Virgin Mary had appeared to Juan Diego on the very hill where the Aztec Mother Goddess lived according to their beliefs so they readily accepted this miracle appearance of the Virgin Mary whose garment was of the Earthly aspect and whose robe was of the turquoise sky of gold stars the Heavenly aspect.

The printing was stunningly gorgeous. The print was protected by the plastic. Durable and beautiful. All my Hispanic co-workers loved this gift. In a personal note, I had one of these attached to my lanyard which was on my lunch / drink bag in the trunk of my car driving home when a big semi truck rear-ended my car which totaled my car and sent me off the highway into the bumpy lower median across to the traffic of oncoming cars on the other side ... but, I got out totally unhurt, alive, and safe. Not even a scratch. No bleeding. No brain damage. A miracle I was OK. It was a hit and run. The semi truck never stopped. The car was crushed above the rear bumper and the rear window shattered. But, I was not harmed. A miracle. The badge was somehow also unharmed.
