Still Standing Org

Still Standing started as a simple poster project to celebrate and empower sexual assault survivors in 2013. Though it was supposed to be a one day display, Still Standing quickly reached people in other countries via Facebook. Aeriel (Niccum) White, our founder, created and ran our social media, and built and managed our first website until December 2015. In January (2016) six other people - Brittany, Roy, Josh, Nikki, Kristine, and Kelby - joined our volunteer staff. Together we have reached people in over 130 countries outside the United States through Facebook alone. Our unique approach to sexual assault stories, the Accomplishments Twist, is what brings sexual assault survivors to Still Standing, and allows us the honor of celebrating and empowering sexual assault survivors.
