Studio16a began operation in 1996 as a graphic design firm. Over the years, this expanded to embroidery, embroidery digitizing, screen-printing, web design, illustration, and clothing design.
The Name
The name Studio16a comes from three things: 1) Art (studio), 2) birthday (16th), and 3) The Today Show. Yes, that is right. When attempting to establish Studio16, AOL would not allow it. I was watching the Today Show, broadcasting from Studio1A in Rockefeller Plaza, and I thought that sounded cool, so I added the A, and it stuck. We have been a licensed business for over 30 years, and now we focus on our brand and expanding our offerings.
