ThanetPostcards

We are Thanet Postcards, and our story is a short one. When a friend moved to sunnier, much warmer climes, it sparked an idea. Instead of writing a letter, WhatsApp or email - you know, like normal people - why not design a postcard with some of the local landmarks on it? Sure, they’re easy enough to buy in half of Thanet’s small shops, but why not something special, something with places that had a joint meaning with that person. A reminder of home, really. Perhaps that’s what postcards are. Reminders. Reminders of where we’ve been, where we’d like to go, the memories that are special to us. Thanet is our home. It’s home to a lot of you, too. Where we, as a family, have grown up, been to school, had our first driving lesson, first kiss, and will have all those incredible adventures that are yet to come. It’s not perfect; we’d be the first people to admit that. It has it’s flaws, but by highlighting every corner of the Isle, good and bad, perhaps it’ll inspire other people to look further, think deeper, and make their own mark. Twenty postcards later, all from a lightbulb moment late at night. Not a bad idea, really. Enjoy the postcards. Enjoy seeing snippets of Thanet and each of it’s beautiful towns, villages, beaches and everything in between in its glory. And thank you, each and every one of you, for your support.
