About

I picked the first few vegetables from my summer 2014 garden and laid them on the butcher block in my kitchen. Soon I was arranging and rearranging them until they resembled a face. And then, of course, I had to take a picture of it. And what does one do with silly pictures today ... what else? I uploaded it to digital media. These whimsical garden faces became something I, and my friends, looked forward to every growing season. At one point, a friend said, these would look good on a mug or a tile and the VegARTable company was born. Find us at www.vegartable.com The metafishicles are creations of my friend and artist Victoria Pendragon. She says: These fish I paint on quilts are lovely; the quilts are colorful and balanced, the overall effect is at once decorative and mentally engaging because... why? Because... what? These paintings present a constant inquiry into themselves... and into the lives of all of us. If nothing else, at least we, like the fish on the quilts, can be colorful and balanced and mentally engaging.
