The Weatherly Art Studio was originally created as a way to share the wildlife/outdoor photography of Kyle Weatherly. Kyle took up photography as a hobby during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic as a personal challenge to learn something new and as a way to keep busy. Soon, Kyle’s Mom, Katie, caught the photography bug and Kyle’s Dad, Glenn became the the photo editor. Thus the basis for the idea of a craft show booth was born. In our original show, our photographs were presented in the form of Canvas wall hangings, post cards, and standard photographs in a variety of different frames. Since then, we have also displayed the various photographs on coffee mugs, travel cups, coasters, key chains and candle holders. Katie is also a seamstress and costumer by profession and is an avid crafter always looking for new ways to showcase her artistic skills. Homemade stuffed animals created by Katie have been added to our display along with Glassware and our newest endeavor of which Glenn is also working with is Leatherwork. So the Weatherly Art Studio has become more than just photography, although we still keep our primary focus on the photography as it has also allowed for some fun and interesting day trips in looking for new and unique photo opportunities.
