The Wee'yins

My idea first came about when I started to hand draw, as a past time, simple designs of little people. I could see their personalities emerging as I created them, each design becoming their own ‘little person’ or ‘Wee’yin. One day my sister spotted my collection of drawings that I had built up over time. She really enjoyed the fun and realistic characters and said the individual scenes I had created with them would look good as greeting cards. So here I am today sharing my little collection of drawings with you. I hope you enjoy them, and that they bring a smile to your face as they have me. Initially I was going to call my designs 'The Little People' before I decided upon ‘The Wee’yins’. It is a Scottish colloquialism to refer to 'little ones' as ‘wee'yins’, normally in the context of small children. I thought 'The Wee'yins' was a nice way of referencing my Scottish heritage in my designs.
