About

In my work, I have always been interested in exploring the process through which raw materials are transformed into objects of artistic expression. • I have been working as a studio artist for many years, exploring a variety of media: everything from traditional materials such as clay, metal, and glass to alternative materials such as bicycle inner tubes and aluminum cans. • Now, I am bringing that same sense of exploration to the digital art medium. Many of my digital pieces are actually a transformation of my hand made work. They begin with a scan or photograph of a work from my real world studio. Others start from a photograph I have taken on my journeys. Some are born from my exploration of the digital medium itself. • As in my real world studio, each day in the digital studio is a quest to attain that moment when the imagery and process of designing come together and the act of making becomes the act of creating. I draw my inspiration from a mix of sources, but my primary influences are literature, archaeology, dance, nature, museums, history, vintage fashion and gardens. • In my Zazzle stores, I share the work I create on this journey. I hope you will find something here which speaks to you.♥
