Lala Shanks is a blogger, writer and artist. She writes poetry and essays about advocacy, identity, intersectionality and her own personal experiences. Her passion for art always intersects with these topics. An upcoming project consists of photography and many other art forms which will be produced in a zine next summer, called "woke zine." Shanks is very ambitious in this and aims to fund her project through selling her own designs. Not only would you be helping a young minority achieve a big dreams, as well as assist in compensating those that work with her—but you'll get some cute merch out of it too!
